Frequently Asked Questions
We know pest control can seem like a bit of a mystery.
Here are some of the most common questions we get — made simple.
Are your products child & pet friendly?
This is a very common question and we completely understand why.
Yes! All of our products are are low-toxic and labeled kiddo and pet safe once dry.
They typically dry in about 45 minutes indoors and 20–30 minutes outdoors.
We just ask that children & pets stay inside (or in a separate room) during treatment so they don’t touch treated areas.
*Fun fact: Did you know all pest control companies purchase their products from the same distributors? We know there is a ton of misinformation out there, but most companies offer the exact same products.
Do I need to be home for service?
Nope! As long as the exterior is accessible, we can treat your home without you being there. Please keep pets inside during service.
We focus on exterior treatments since that’s where most pests come from. Interior treatments are by request or only needed if there’s an active problem.
If you need specific timing, just let us know — we’ll do our best to work with you.
How do you schedule your services?
We typically send a text message 48 hours ahead of time to confirm your service.
Please let us know if the scheduled time doesn’t work. We ask that you try to keep the original day unless necessary — most of the time we’re servicing your neighbors, and moving one stop can throw off the rest of the route.
Remember, you’re always covered. If you notice pest activity after a recent visit, just let us know and we’ll take care of it.
How do I pay?
You can keep a credit card on file or set up autopay through our online portal.
We’re happy to walk you through it anytime.
Do you require a contract?
No contracts here — we earn your business each visit.
You’ll just sign a simple service agreement outlining pricing and terms so everything’s clear.
When can I go back inside after a treatment?
During a general interior treatment, you can usually stay inside or re-enter once products are dry — about 45 minutes inside and 20–30 minutes outside.
Our materials don’t have strong odors, and once dry, your pets are free to roam again.
For specialty treatments (bed bugs, fleas, cockroaches, etc.), you’ll need to stay out of the home for 4–5 hours.
How long does a treatment take?
A general exterior service takes about 20–30 minutes for an average-sized home.
Do I need to prepare anything before you come?
No prep needed for routine visits.
If there’s a specific issue, we’ll provide simple prep instructions ahead of time.
Why do I see dead bugs after a treatment?
That’s a good sign — it means the treatment worked.
Unfortunately, we can’t make them vanish instantly.
Do you handle termites?
Not yet — but we can refer a couple of trusted local companies we partner with.
Do pests go away on their own?
Sadly, no. Pests love the same climate-controlled comfort we do.
Once inside, they’ll stay and reproduce unless treated.
How long does a treatment last?
Pesticides naturally break down over time — usually around 45 days outdoors.
That’s why we recommend ongoing maintenance for lasting control.
Will spraying kill spiders?
Not always. Spiders walk on their “tiptoes,” so they don’t pick up much product.
We control spiders by removing webs and treating their hiding areas directly.
Can you treat inside walls, attics, or crawlspaces?
We can if needed, but usually it’s not necessary unless there’s an active infestation.
Treating the exterior often solves the problem.
What should I expect after a treatment?
You might see more bugs for about a week as they come out of hiding — that’s normal.
If activity stays high, just give us a call and we’ll recheck the area.
Can you treat in the rain?
Yes! We use products that work even in wet weather.
Rain actually drives pests closer to homes, so skipping service can leave your home unprotected.
We focus on eaves and dry areas to make sure pests stay away.
Can I just call when I see something if I’m not on a routine service plan?
Of course — but pest control works best as a process, not a one-time event.
Routine treatments keep things under control long-term.
You may end up paying more overall if you only call as needed.
Why can’t you guarantee total elimination for some pests?
For certain pests like spiders or outdoor insects, pest control is about control, not complete elimination.
We reduce outside pressure and keep your living spaces protected.
Why do I still see bugs right after you spray?
Treatments take time to work — bugs may appear before the population drops.
Think of it as “flushing them out.”
How much do you charge?
Pricing depends on your home size, season, and service type.
We offer both routine maintenance plans and one-time treatments — we’ll help you find the best fit.
Will you spray my entire yard and plants?
No. Our goal is to protect the areas where you spend time — patios, play areas, and outdoor living spaces.
Spraying every plant can harm beneficial insects and the environment.
Do you need to spray inside?
Only if there’s an issue. A solid exterior treatment usually keeps pests out.
What should I do with my pets during service?
Keep them inside while we treat the exterior.
If we’re treating indoors, move them to a room we won’t be entering.
Once products are dry — about 45 minutes indoors and 20–30 outdoors — your pets are safe to roam freely again.
Do you use organic products?
We offer both natural and synthetic options.
Both are labeled “Caution” for safety.
Organic doesn’t always mean safer — we’ll choose what’s best for your needs and environment.
Can’t you just spray extra to make it work faster?
Nope — more product doesn’t mean better results.
We apply exactly what’s needed, following the label for the safest, most effective outcome.
Is rodent bait dangerous for pets or wildlife?
It can be if misused.
We use locked, tamper-resistant stations and low-dose multi-feed baits.
Secondary poisoning is extremely rare, and safety is always our top priority.
How can I compare pest control companies?
Ask if they:
-
Inspect attics, crawlspaces, and rooftops
-
Handle multiple pest types (like rodents or bed bugs)
-
Provide long-term solutions, not just a quick spray
Those details reveal who’s truly focused on protecting your home.
